Informest is a public, privately managed and non-profit body that was established on December, 1992 by the regions Vriuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto and the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE). Other private and public shareholders are the Region Trentino-Alto Adige, the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Union of Italian Chambers of Commerce and other regional and local Chambers.
It is registered in the Phare - Tacis Central Consultancy Register with the Code No. ITA-22843. January 1999 INFORMEST signed the contract with EC - DG XXIII for the status of Euro-Info Centre Associate Member (IT 939) for its specific competences in the relationship with the Countries in Transition. Since January 2000 Informest has been contracted as EIC IT 388 - Euro Info Centre Friuli - Venezia Giulia with relays centres in Udine and in Pordenone.
An Italian organization “Informest” is deeply rooted in the economic system of the three regions of North-Eastern Italy, internationally known as a model for development of small and medium enterprises. Its services are requested by institutions and companies from all over Italy. Technical assistance for cooperation projects of third parties and direct cooperation management are also performed.
